At Peter and Rita's wedding, a mysterious old man insists on kissing the bride.  While honeymooning, Peter gradually realizes that the woman by his side is not his wife.  The wedding kiss caused Rita's soul and the old man's soul to change places.  Peter must track down the old man and free his young love's spirit trapped in an aging and diseased body
... before it's too late!

AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD EVERY 1.5 HOURS PER AUDITION DATE. Slots are limited - sign up early to get your preferred date and time!

Folks are welcome to audition without an appointment, however, those who wish to be considered must arrive prepared (per AC's Audition Details), as well as be prepared to wait. We will do our best to fit you in. Again, signing up in advance is recommended.

- Audition Forms: If possible, download and fill out this form in advance; available for download here and in AC's Office (details provided directly below).  Please bring a completed form with your (if printing is not an option, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your audition appointment - be ready to list your complete availability. Please do not email your Audition Form.
- Resume & Headshot: Please bring a resume/headshot, no matter the breadth of experience/ size of photograph.

- OPEN AUDITONS:
All are invited! Current and past HCC students and guest artists!

- CAST INFO:  Prelude to a Kiss includes a diverse cast of 14 men and women ages 18 and up.  All roles are non-paid, however, each performer cast will receive two complimentary tickets to the show! View the Character Breakdown on AC's Audition Details: Click Here!

- BASIC AUDITION CRITERIA:
* Actors will read sides, i.e. short scenes from the script, chosen by the director.
* ALL AUDITION DETIALS: Click here (includes character breakdown, how to obtain audition sides and script prior to auditions... and more)! 

- CALLBACKS:  By invitation only - evening of Thursday, February 21.

- REHEARSALS:  Rehearsals will begin early March, 2013. 

- SHOW DATES:  May 3 - 19, 2013, in HCC's Studio Theatre.

About the Director: Darius K. McKeiver
Mr. McKeiver has worked at Howard Community College for the past seven years – HCC’s Arts and Humanities Division (in an instructional capacity) and HCC’s Arts Collective (in an artistic capacity). A former HCC student, Darius began performing with the Arts Collective in 2006 as Howie Newsome in Our Town.  Mr. McKeiver’s favorite on-stage performances with Arts Collective include Charlie Brown in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, ensemble, in the original work The Child Behind the Curtain, and Captain Hook in Peter Pan. His directing credits include The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe (co-director with Bill Largess, HCC Actors’ Studio); Dracula (co-director with Susan G. Kramer for Arts Collective); The Importance of Being Earnest at Century High School (director); A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Tom Delise at Century High School (co-director); and Rent at Silhouette Stages (production consultant). Mr. McKeiver is currently Arts Collective’s Special Project Manager and the Assistant Props and Wardrobe Manager for the college’s Horowitz Center.
